CLEANING MACHINE REPAIRS AND SERVICES

At Rapid Clean Newcastle, we urge owner-operators to ensure their cleaning equipment receives regular maintenance to improve productivity and limit major equipment failure. You service your cars and vans regularly, why not your cleaning equipment you also rely upon to make money? A cleaning machine that is well maintained will lengthen the life of the equipment. It will also reduce your costs in the long run through raised uptime, and more effective quicker cleaning. If you own floor scrubbers, sweepers, high pressure washers, industrial vacuum cleaners, commercial vacuums or carpet extractors, we encourage you to speak to our team about your cleaning equipment maintenance needs regardless of where you bought your machine from.

Our dedicated service team is second to none in Newcastle with an on-site manufacturer trained service technician that can service all brands. We are also the only manufacturer-authorised repair facility in the Newcastle area of all the brands: Nilfisk, Alto, Tennant, Hako, Karcher, Colombus, Comac, Kerrick and Polivac with direct access to genuine OEM parts to help extend the life of the equipment – engineer selected parts that fit and work correctly.

We strongly recommend scheduled maintenance for each piece of equipment you own as recommended in operating manuals supplied with your equipment, rather than awaiting breakdown that then requires repair. However, we are able to help you with both cleaning machine repairs and services of the following equipment:

We also offer a limited range of hire equipment where you cannot do without a machine.

SWEEPER REPAIRS AND SERVICING

Sweepers rely on brushes, vacuums, control cables and sometimes traction drive motors and electronics.

Our workshop experience is main and side Brushes need regular checking to ensure they are set at correct heights and are not worn, do not have straps wire string impeding brushes and damaging bearings.

Vacuums need filters checked for wear or blockage, torn gaskets, and the motor checked for wear. Filter damage may let dust or debris into the motor areas that can damage them.

VACUUM REPAIRS AND SERVICING

If your vacuum cleaner suddenly stops working or it is no longer working as it did, then it is time for our service. Our team will be able to assess the vacuum cleaner and depending on the issue, perform on-the-spot maintenance, or if it is something more serious arrange for repair.

Common vacuum problems are:

  • clogged cloth filter bags due to not using disposable bags as well
  • damaged cables from excessive twisting, cuts from dragging against objects, stretching and tearing cables from the machine
  • blocked hoses, damaged lids

Remember it’s the owners responsibility to have the machine safety test and tagged, and where cables have an extension lead connected to a pigtail, both need test and tagging.

CARPET EXTRACTION REPAIRS AND SERVICING

The breakdown of carpet cleaning equipment can potentially cost you business so it is important that maintenance is scheduled to ensure optimal performance for as long as possible. Carpet cleaning involves electrical equipment and liquids that raise the safety risk from worn or damaged parts. Avoid using excessive hot liquid that may compromise internal components. Avoid concentrated chemicals that can corrode parts, and always rinse them out. Regular checks of the integrity of tanks, motors, hoses and tools will ensure when you are on the job your equipment is likely to perform and not fail, requiring repeat visits.
