Hydrochloric Acid 32% 15L
Also known as Muriatic Acid
For lowering pH and total alkalinity in swimming pools, boiler scale removal, acid pickling to remove surface rusts, brick cleaning, cleaning concrete mixers. It is an aggressive acid and consideration should be given to rather using a diluted acidic builders cleaner for OHS reasons.
Brick Cleaning:
- Wet bricks with water and remove large lumps of mortar with a scraper
- Mix 1 part acid with 9 parts of water
- Apply acid solution using a pressure washer or a plastic broom/brush and rinse off with water once frothing has stopped
Safety:
- Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place.
- Avoid contact with eyes and skin
- Do NOT mix with any other chemical other than water.
- Wear suitable protective clothing and eye/face protection.
- Avoid breathing vapour

What does muriatic acid do to concrete?
The acid works well on concrete and on many masonry projects because it neutralizes alkalinity. The surface becomes “etched” and clean, which allows for the proper adhesion of a new coating. Despite its effectiveness, muriatic acid should be used on concrete stains only if you've tried gentler alternatives to no avail.
