- In lead-acid batteries, the concentration of sulfuric acid in water ranges from 29% to 32% or between 4.2 mol/L and 5.0 mol/L. Rapid Clean also sells 98% sulfuric acid NOT necessarily suitable for batteries
- Battery acid is highly corrosive and able to cause severe burns. even rubber/nitrile gloves will brun through when acid drops on them. Protective clothing should always be worn when handling acids.
- Usually, battery acid is stored in glass or other nonreactive container
